Opelika Giving Day

The Cooper Library Friends are honored to be selected for the 2021 Opelika Giving Day! Our goal is to raise $5000.00 towards the purchase of interactive musical play equipment for the grounds of the new library.

Be a part of giving day here: https://www.opelikagivingday.org/

Music is a global language that creates community, connection, and a sense of place. Music is so powerful that a few notes from a song can spark emotions and memories, taking the participant on a journey. Additionally, music helps to build reasoning skills and cognitive development while reducing stress. Further, playing music is a fun activity that can be shared across generations. Playing music with others fosters respect while building community.
